A NOVEL AND EFFICIENT PHOTOCATALYSIS (ZnO/BENTONITE) FOR DISINFECTION OF Escherichia coli AND Pseudomonas aeruginosa UNDER VISIBLE LIGHT IRRADIATION

چکیده

In the present study, a new composite catalyst which highly active under visible light was synthesized by immobilizing onto bentonite surface using ZnO materials (ZnO/Bent). For this, simple in situ participant technique used. The samples were characterized SEM, XRD, BET techniques. SEM images possess that particles have nearly spherical structure. Bentonite clay used to increase area of samples. obtained shows ZnO/Bent lower than pure Bentonite. aim this study evaluate effectiveness photocatalytic disinfection with ZnO-Bent against E. coli and P. aeruginosa irradiation. results show when strain subjected mediated solar irradiation, more 98 % targeted achieved within 2 hours also 100% colonies inactivated 4 A Possible degradation mechanism for proposed study.
